With an annual production of roughly 800 million kgs, India is the second-largest producer and third-largest exporter of tobacco in the world. This product is valued for its full-bodied flavour and smoothness. Of this, 300 million Kgs. are produced as FCV tobacco, the primary exportable variety of tobacco grown in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
There are further sorts of chewing tobacco, cigar-wrapper, Oriental, Traditional Burley (HDBRG), Dark fire cured, FCV Rustica, Bidi, Hookah tobacco, and Cheroot.
